Zapraszamy do obejrzenia filmu poświęconego galerii drugiej wystawy stałej Muzeum Getta Warszawskiego – "Wojna i okupacja 1939–1940". Galeria ta ma na celu przedstawienie początków okupacji niemieckiej w Polsce ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Warszawy. Przedstawia ona oblężenie stolicy i początki okupacji niemieckiej, tj. okres poprzedzający utworzenie getta. Oblężenie Warszawy, które było traumatycznym przeżyciem zarówno dla Żydów, jak i Polaków, wymaga szczególnego potraktowania: męczarnię życia w oblężonym mieście we wrześniu 1939 roku dzielili bowiem wszyscy mieszkańcy Warszawy, bez względu na swoje wyznanie, zawód, pochodzenie etniczne czy status społeczny, zarówno ci mieszkający razem, jak i w sąsiadujących z sobą dzielnicach miasta – wszyscy z nich doświadczali masowych bombardowań i okropności wojny. Życie codzienne w okupowanej Warszawie powinno być przedstawione przez pryzmat radykalnych zmian w przestrzeni miejskiej po ustanowieniu na początku 1940 roku reżimu okupacyjnego. The goal of this gallery is to tell about the beginning of the German occupation in Poland with a special focus on Warsaw. The gallery presents the siege of the Polish capital and the beginning of the German occupation, before the ghetto had been formed. The siege of Warsaw, a traumatic experience for both Jewish and Polish people, needs to be studied with special attention: Warsaw's citizens, regardless of their religion, profession, ethnicity or social status, had to go through the horrors of mass bombings and war. Everyday life in occupied Warsaw has to be presented through the prism of radical changes in the urban space which was occurred after the Nazi regime had established in the beginning of 1940.The video features prof.
