This Is How Dangerous Flying With The Red Arrows Really Is

The documentary follows the world-famous Red Arrows display team since the autumn of 2017, which began filming as a new team leader joined the Red Arrows ahead of their 2018 displays. Through unprecedented access showing behind-the-scenes, we learn it’s been a tumultuous year for the squadron, during which it was told its home at RAF Scampton would close and be sold off. Now the team is preparing for its "biggest tour for a generation", with the team's newest pilot, Flt Lt Jon Bond, believing it’s a fantastic opportunity to display the “best of British overseas." In this episode, the Red Arrows are in Greece to begin the test that determines whether they can perform displays for the public. Every member needs to pass, and the boss of the RAF training is watching closely. With strong winds, mistakes are creeping and it’s putting the Red Arrows at risk of failing.
