Cristina: Contra un cáncer que amenaza la maternidad
Cristina and Javier had longed to be parents for many years when, during a consultation at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, they received the news that Cristina had a pre-cancerous lesion in her uterus that was going to become cancerous. The most prudent course of action? A hysterectomy to empty the uterus. This meant giving up the possibility of becoming parents, but Dr. Luis Chiva, Director of Gynecology and Obstetrics, saw that there was an alternative. It is a painful treatment, but one that, if managed carefully, could save Cristina's fertility. This is the story of this family and of many women who want to be mothers and are faced with cancer. In Cristina and Javier's story, we see how the path of hope can lead to a happy ending.
