“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14 NKJV) Isaiah saw a virgin conceiving hundreds of years before Mary appeared, but the prophecy waited for an anointed womb. The Christmas story reminds us that Heaven always anoints the carrier before announcing the calling. And before God releases a promise, He releases power.
