CP Alsthom 1900 & 1930 Class locos

A selection of video about two almost identical CP locomotives, the 1900 & 1930 classes. Both classes were built under licence from Alsthom by Portuguese builder SOREFAME from 1981. The engine fitted was an SACM MGO V12 of 2,995 hp. The 1900 class were intended for freight operation and were geared accordingly, their top speed being 100 kmh. These locomotives were numbered 1901 - 1913. The 1930 class were intended for passenger operation and were geared for 120 kmh as well as being fitted to supply electric train heat. These locomotives were numbered 1931 - 1947 As far as I can tell none of these locomotives are operational in 2021. On 23rd May 1998, 1945 is seen moving away from the stock of IC542 [15:15 Covilha - Lisbon S.A.] at Entroncamento. On 25th May 1998, 1932 is seen departing from Vila Real Santo Antonio-Guadiana and then from Faro with IR872 [16:15 Vila Real Santo Antonio-guardiana - Barreiro]. As it leaves Faro 1931 is revealed with 1200 class locomtoive 1219 and coaches for R5109 [17:42 Faro - Vila Real Santo Antonio-guardiana]. On 26th May 1998, 1901 is passed at Barreiro shed and works, with other locos visible being from classes 1500, 1800, 1900 and 1100. At Barreiro station 1946 passes on its way to the shed. 1901 and the other classes are seen again from the train at Barreiro shed. Later the same day, 1908 is seen arriving and making an excellent growling departure from Pinhal Novo with a freight train. At this time 1908 was fitted with an automatic coupler with its buffers removed. The nose doors for the multiple engine jumpers are also seen to be open. Since these scenes were captured Pinhal Novo station has been completely rebuilt, the concrete signal box, semaphore signals, footbridges and station buildings have all gone. On 28th May 1998 an unidentified 19xx locomotive is seen half way down the embankment by the side of the Tagus river from a train between Abrantes and Covilha. If anyone can share what this locomotive was, it would be helpful! Finally, on the same day 1943 is seen passing with a freight train at Santa Margarida.
