Message from the 31st of May 2026 What is the Kingdom of God, and what place do we have in it? In this powerful message, we journey through Scripture to uncover God's redemptive plan and the incredible value He places on His people. The book of Acts begins by continuing the account of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. While the Gospels reveal what Jesus began to do and teach, Acts records the works of His followers through the power of the Holy Spirit. Interestingly, there is no final "amen" at the end of Acts; a reminder that the story of God's Kingdom is still being written today through believers across the world. Jesus spent forty days after His resurrection teaching His disciples about the Kingdom of God (Acts 1:1–3). This shows us that there is much to understand about God's Kingdom, and we are called to continually grow in our knowledge of His Word. Revelation 1 reminds us that Jesus Christ is the faithful witness and the firstborn from the dead. He conquered sin and death so that those who were spiritually dead could be made alive in Him. Through His precious blood, He cleansed us from sin and gave us a new identity. Not only has He washed us clean, but He has also made us kings and priests unto God, empowering us to rule and reign in this life according to His purpose. One of the most beautiful pictures of God's love is found in the parable of the hidden treasure (Matthew 13:44). The field represents the world, and the treasure represents those whom God came to save. Jesus saw so much value in us that He gave everything He had—even His own life—to redeem us. Luke 19:10 declares that the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. You are not an accident or an afterthought. You are the treasure Christ considered worth dying for. John 15:13 reveals the depth of this love: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." Jesus demonstrated this love by surrendering everything to purchase our redemption. According to 1 Peter 1:18–19 and Colossians 1:14, we have been redeemed—not with silver or gold—but through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Because of this, Psalm 107 calls us to boldly declare our testimony: "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!" Key Highlights: • The Kingdom of God continues through believers today. • Jesus taught extensively about God's Kingdom. • Christ washed us clean through His blood. • We have been made kings and priests before God. • We are the hidden treasure Jesus gave everything to redeem. • God's love was demonstrated through Christ's sacrifice. • The redeemed are called to boldly testify of His goodness. No matter where you've come from, remember this truth: Jesus considered you worth the price of His own life.
