I took a stroll through La Punta Zicatela in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. It's poised to become an even more popular beach town as development progresses. I spent the morning relaxing by the hotel pool, and thankfully, I managed to get my room back after a booking problem the previous day. Afterward, I took a colectivo (shared taxi) to La Punta. The atmosphere, with its stylish cafes, boutiques, and surf shops, was quite different from the other Mexican towns I'd visited. A relaxed, beach resort vibe permeated the area, making it a very comfortable place to be.
