Nurses in Independent Practice

This presentation will help guide Alberta nurses who currently engage in, or who are considering independent or self-employed practice and the delivery of health services. It is important to be appropriately informed and prepared before starting your own business as a regulated health professional. This video provides an overview of the regulatory requirements, a nurse's responsibilities and accountabilities in practice, advertising and liability coverage. This is a joint presentation by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA), the College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA), and the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA).
