BART From Bay Fair to Dublin/Pleasanton - Full Section Ride (HD)

Enjoy one of BART's most relaxing rides on this 10-car Dublin/Pleasanton train, as it departs Bay Fair Station in San Leandro for the suburban Tri-Valley region during the tail end of the morning commute in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dublin/Pleasanton Station, where this train terminates, geographically is the easternmost station in the BART system and the closest to Interstate 5, the most popular highway choice for those traveling south toward Los Angeles and Southern California. Bay Fair, on the other hand, is the final transfer point for those wishing to switch between the Dublin/Pleasanton and Fremont trains. Upon reaching Dublin/Pleasanton, all trains depart for the storage tracks up ahead, and then reenter the station on Platform 2 as San Francisco/Daly City trains. This stretch of the BART system -- filmed for the first time ever going in the Dublin/Pleasanton direction -- is usually about 18-20 minutes each way, and now features the agency's newest station, West Dublin/Pleasanton, which has been open since February 19, 2011. West Dublin/Pleasanton makes it easier for people to shop at nearby Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton. This section is also a crucial transportation link in terms of alleviating traffic on 580, especially for those commuting from Tracy and other places in San Joaquin County. Some visual appeal features on this ride include riding alongside hundreds of cars along Interstates 238 and 580, zipping through Castro Valley, and crossing over the Dublin grade into Dublin and Pleasanton.
