Phalaborwa, Limpopo, South Africa! Ep 591

We were really excited to finally spend some time in Phalaborwa, Limpopo. We’ve passed through so many times on our way to the Kruger National Parl. shopping for supplies but never actually exploring, so this visit was long overdue. After checking into our beautiful luxury tent, we set off to see what the town had to offer. Our first stop was the Phalaborwa Gate, the entrance to Kruger, and turning back without going in wasn’t easy! The town itself surprised us, beautifully kept gardens, tree-lined streets, and neat homes made it feel so inviting. We also stopped by the Kruger Park Gateway Airport, which was quite a sight, and we also attempted to visit Africa’s largest open-pit mine, but the road was just too rough for our vehicle. By the time we had to leave, we didn’t want to! Phalaborwa really won us over.
