We explore - Ep4 - Cuba in Alentejo

17th July 2021 in Cuba, Alentejo. Still mask wearing... On our way to Sao Cucufate, Margarida suggested we stop off in Cuba. This is wheat, wine and olive country, wonderfully rural and equally popular for Portuguese and tourists. Among ancient sites you can also enjoy olive oil tasting and winery tours and the incredible Alentejo food. Alentejo is the largest region steeped in history, throughout the centuries, peoples like the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Visigoths and Moors have left their traces. The climate is typically warm and dry, but it also boasts a large Atlantic coastline. We make many more trips through Alentejo, but please be patient with us as this will take some time...
