Orphanage fire kills 11 as Algeria struggles in heatwave

Firefighters and police are deployed outside an orphanage in the suburbs of Algiers, which was hit overnight by a fire that left at least 11 people dead – including several children – and 19 injured, according to Algerian emergency services, whilst the country, which is facing a heatwave, has recorded nearly a thousand fires in the space of a week. #algerie #heatwave #fire
