This martial art focuses on kicking techniques. This kick-based martial art is unique to Dane, a Dryleaf and sworn ally of Leda. He acquired these skills by training with the aid of a waterfall; letting the water beat his body, and throwing himself into its basin." Description: One of two hand-to-hand techniques added by the DLC, these things were hyped by the community when the first few trailers came out. I have no idea how these things do in PvP, apart from knowing that Palm Blast has a ton of hyper armor. The poise damage probably sucks. In PvE, they seem serviceable enough, but some of the longer attack chains will result in problems similar to what happens with Beast Claw weapons, which is why I resorted to fully charged heavy attacks in phase 2 whenever openings presented themselves. Dryleaf Whirlwind continues the DLC skill trend of covering large amounts of distance while dealing significant damage, breaking from the skill design of Elden Ring's base game, where consecutive hits or high damage were limited to skills that reduced your mobility. This thing is likely quite spammable in any situation if you manage to give yourself poise with something like the Ironjar Aromatic. It furthermore buffs kicking attacks and skills, which includes itself. There are quite a few skill choices for hand-to-hand weapons, but since the DLC added two exclusive Hand-to-Hand skills, those will be the ones showcased. About Dryleaf Dane, who will always be allied with Leda in the NPC fight: "(His hat) Worn low over the eyes, it obscures the wearer's vision. Meeting the gaze of another can overcome the senses, often leading to the downfall of those who would walk the noble and solitary seekers' path."
