The goal was simple: hit every liquor store in town, which ended up being about 28 stops. In part one, we found a lot of solid shops and some surprisingly good bottles. Nearly every store had Blanton’s or E.H. Taylor sitting on the shelf, and many of them run local bourbon clubs or points systems for regulars. We also spotted some newer releases, including the 4 Year Willett Purple Tops. I even managed to score a few allocated bottles at reasonable prices. But that’s only part of the story.
