El cementerio de Villaluenga del Rosario uno de los más bonito de España
2008. Villaluenga del Rosario (Cádiz) boasts one of the most beautiful and unique cemeteries in Spain. After the partial destruction of the Church of El Salvador, it began to be used as a burial ground, initially with graves in the ground and later with the construction of niches inside. The arches of the dome stand out in Villaluenga. The church faces the sunset, making the cemetery a striking sight in the afternoon. Several residents, including Mateo Vázquez (gravedigger), Antonio Benítez, Antonio Jesús Jaén (parish priest), and Francisca Barea, discuss the history, legends, and anecdotes, and remember their illustrious neighbor Pedro Pérez-Clotet (1902-1966), a contemporary writer of the Generation of '27. They highlight the residents' connection to their cemetery, especially as All Souls' Day approaches. Report: “In the Shadow of the Walls.” [Program “Los Reporteros”, October 21, 2008.
