Piani d'Erna dal Rifugio Stoppani: trekking in Lombardia

Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/PatatofriendlyYT Today we're taking you on a simple hike with kids in Lombardy, in the province of Lecco, to Piani d'Erna. You can actually go up to Piani d'Erna by cable car in about 5 minutes (the Piani d'Erna cable car is free for children with the "Io Viaggio in Famiglia" card). But if you're up for a nice hike, you can also reach Piani d'Erna on foot, starting from the cable car parking area via various mountain trails and even a via ferrata. Among the Piani d'Erna trails, we've chosen the one that passes by Rifugio Stoppani. In this case, you can park your car at the Pieni d'Erna cable car parking area (fees apply on weekends) and begin your trek from there. From the Lecco cable car station, it takes about an hour to reach the Stoppani Refuge. From there, it's another hour to reach the Piani d'Erna and the Pizzo d'Erna Cross. Once at the summit, you can stop for lunch at the Trattoria Milano restaurant, continue on the Sentiero Natura walk, or take the mountain trails to the Marchett Refuge or the Azzoni Refuge, two of the Resegone refuges accessible from the Piani d'Erna. At the summit, there's also the Piani d'Erna Adventure Park, if you'd like the kids to play. The trail that climbs to the Piani d'Erna from Lecco, passing by the Stoppani Refuge, is a simple but beautiful hike, offering breathtaking views of the Resegone.
