North Sea | Day 17 | Stavanger - Langevåg

/ strava   What a contrast! After two nights in an Airbnb in a modern high-rise in downtown Stavanger, I first took a modern, fast ferry to Nedstrand. My first destination was Haugesund. The rain started off light but, as forecast, grew heavier and heavier. So I rode for three hours in the pouring rain past Haugesund to Langevåg for the next ferry. After a coffee and a chance to dry off a bit, it was just one more kilometer to the last store in the area. Stocked up with water and food, I set out to find a place to camp. Wild camping is allowed in Norway. After some searching, I found a spot on a gravel lot on a side street. So now I’m lying in my tent in the middle of nowhere, soaked through by the wind and rain. And I now have a reliable rain radar app for Norway on my phone.
