Botswana 2026- Episode 3 - Magadigadi to Nxai Pans
#Botswana 2026 – Episode 3 – True Wilderness What happens when a safari isn't about the wildlife?** In Episode 3 of our first-ever self-drive safari through Botswana, we continue our adventure from Kumaga Camp in Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, exploring the banks of the Boteti River before venturing deep into the remote eastern reaches of one of Botswana's most fascinating wilderness areas. With exceptional rains having transformed the landscape, wildlife sightings were fewer than expected. But what Makgadikgadi lacked in game viewing, it more than made up for in solitude, vast open spaces, and a true sense of wilderness. Leaving the more travelled routes behind, we follow remote tracks through overgrown bush, cross endless grasslands, and discover just how isolated this incredible part of Botswana can be. Along the way we encounter a lone elephant bull, learn how elephants helped shape the iconic palm-lined horizons of the Makgadikgadi, and experience a breathtaking African sunset that reminds us why we travel to wild places in the first place. After another peaceful night at Kumaga Camp, we continue north through Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and make our way to Nxai Pan National Park, where thousands of zebra and springbok welcome us to the next chapter of our Botswana adventure. This episode is less about ticking wildlife sightings off a list and more about experiencing the soul of Botswana's wilderness. --- Featured in this Episode ✅ Kumaga Camp Review ✅ Boteti River Exploration ✅ Remote Eastern Makgadikgadi Pans ✅ Lone Elephant Encounter ✅ Palm Tree & Elephant Migration Story ✅ Spectacular Botswana Sunset ✅ Self-Drive Safari Adventure ✅ Nxai Pan National Park Arrival ✅ South Camp Review ✅ Zebra Migration Sightings --- Lesson from Nature "Sometimes the greatest encounters in the wild are not with animals, but with ourselves." --- About This Series Join us as we embark on our first-ever self-drive safari through Botswana, exploring some of Southern Africa's most iconic wilderness destinations.
