Why N&W 475 was in Thomas & The Magic Railroad

Thomas & The Magic Railroad has a lot of mixed opinions. But for me, it's definitely my favorite Thomas movie. Anyway, many have taken notice of the appearance of Strasburg Railroad, more specifically Norfolk & Western 475. This locomotive appears as the Rainbow Sun train for the Indian Valley Railroad in Shining Time. But the question is, why was 475 chosen over the original representative being Union Pacific 844?
