Long queues of two-wheelers and four-wheelers were seen at multiple petrol pumps, including those at Ambedkar Chowk and Laxmi Panda Chowk. Consumers alleged that due to shortage, petrol is being rationed, with only ₹100 to ₹200 worth of fuel being given per vehicle. This has caused inconvenience and frustration among commuters waiting for long hours. Petrol pump authorities stated that the situation arose due to supply issues from depots. Fuel is usually transported to Jeypore from Paradip and Jharsuguda depots, and disruptions in this supply chain have led to the current crisis.
