Sedgemoor Gauge O Group 2024 Exhibition - Sunday 18th February 2024

Welcome back to my channel and another model railway exhibition video. This time we head West, to Burnham on Sea / Highbridge, for the Sedgemoor Gauge O Groups 2024 exhibtion, held at the King Alfreds School, over the weekend of Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th February 2024. I havent made it to this show for several years, so this was a welcome return to a specialist O gauge show. Well supported by traders and local O gauge layout builders - some big, some small - a couple even tiny. Layouts featuring in this video are as follows : Bradstock - a small steam loco serving depot, in BR steam days. The layout features mainly Western region locos, which are beautifly weathered and also dcc sound fitted. Wedmore - takes its name from a local Somerset village. This fictional branchline terminus station is set in steam days. Crossways Wagon Works - a small wagon works which centres around a very well thought out traverser. Standard and narrow gauge rolling stock is seen in action. Nosach Green - a long, end to end layout, featuring a through station, industrial sidings, goods shed and loco shed. Steam and diesel traction is seen, working side by side. O gauge test track - one thing you can guarantee seeing at an O gauge show like this, is a club test track. Various items of club members rolling stock can be seen being put through its paces. Vintage Hornby clockwork and tinplate - wind them up and watch them go. A fantastic collection of vintage Hornby and Dinky models can be seen. Rudimentry in detail, but exciting to watch. Croscombe - Another branch terminus station - very popular in this scale - with a Somerset village name. Steam and diesel traction again works side by side. Woolbridge - another branch terminus, this time with a Southern / Somerset & Dorset feel. We see some Ivatt and BR Standard traction in action. I hope you enjoy this video.
