Sweden is sometimes called the loneliest country in the world. It tops the list of single households, and it's well-known for its itroverted population. It's different for a newcomer compared to a native Swede, of course - but even native Swedes feel lonely at times. More so than in other countries? That's the real question. When looking at this question I divide loneliness into four parts: Objective loneliness are the things that can be measured. Single households, statistics, closeness to family and so on. Subjective loneliness is whether or not the people themselves actually feel lonely. Emotional and relationship loneliness. This covers whether or not people have a significant other, or if they're close to friends. And finally, existential loneliness. Do people feel like they have a place in the world? Let's just say that Sweden isn't the top loneliest country in all of these aspects. But maybe in quite a few. I might have some unexpected twists coming in the later parts of the video, so you'll just have to watch it for my full conclusion!
