A Gentleman's Grand Tour 1801 - 1803
An illustrated lecture / podcast providing an account of Henry Richard Greville (1779-1853), Lord Brooke and later 3rd Earl of Warwick's, Grand Tour. The talk is presented by Adam Busiakiewicz. This podcast focuses on a set of watercolours and a rediscovered Grand Tour memoir found in the Greville of Warwick Castle Archive held by the Warwickshire County Record Office. Henry's tour began in June 1801 and included visits to Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Berlin, Vienna, Switzerland, Venice, Rome, Naples and further afield to Athens, Constantinople, Bulgaria and Romania before his return back to England in August 1803.
