Emotional Impact of a Broken Wrist: Managing the Fears, Frustration & Sadness (Part 3)
It's not uncommon to feel anxious, sad, fearful or even depressed after a traumatic injury. After all, recovery can take a long time, and we're not sure how much mobility and strength will return after we heal. It's important to honor our feelings and find healthy coping strategies for dealing with any distressing emotions. In this video, I talk about my own fears and sadness after two wrist fractures and surgeries. I also talk about the importance of setting small, achievable goals to rebuild confidence.
