Yoga Special Series | Yama: The Code of Conduct
Dealing with others requires a certain code of conduct because it reflects one’s state of mind and inner being; a yogi should be well versed with the Do’s & Don’ts of the moral conduct. Yama, being the first of the eight limbs laid down by Patanjali in the yoga sutras, explains essentially the basic code of conduct for not just a yogi, but for one and all in dealing with others. In this video drawn from the talk given on International Yoga Day (Delhi, 2015), revered master Anandmurti Gurumaa focuses on the five moral codes of conduct of Yama: Satya, Ahimsa, Asteya, Aparigraha and Brahmacharya.
