Vogels kijken in de Kwade Hoek #1777

Practical information about birdwatching in Kwade Hoek: https://www.visdief.nl/vogels-kijken-... Today I'm back at Kwade Hoek. From the dike that separates Stellendam's outer harbor from Kwade Hoek, I look out over the exposed mudflats. It's low tide, and the wading birds are congregating on the edges of the sandbank. Some birds are resting, others are foraging or taking a bath. The two harbor seals lying on the sandbank opposite me are also amusing. As I left the dike, I just saw a third seal swim up. It crawled onto the sandbank and started shuffling frantically back and forth. It was quite wild. I honestly don't know why it was doing that. If you want to go birdwatching at the head of Goeree-Overflakkee during the Christmas holidays, Kwade Hoek is an area you should definitely consider visiting!
