MBTA 01400 series "Bluebirds" First Run at Seashore Trolley Museum

Ex MTA Cambridge-Dorchester subway cars (MBTA Red Line) 01450 and 01455 run for the first time under power from their own poles at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport. These cars were built in 1963 and retired in 1994. If you want to ride these beauties be sure to come to Transit Day this year on October 7! Much work went into getting these cars operational after many years of sitting idle since their arrival at Seashore. Much remains to be done, including a new paint job.
