Seashore Trolley Museum Transit Day Parade 2017

Transit Day at Seashore Trolley Museum! Seen here is run-bys of the rapid transit equipment showcased at Transit Day, featuring New York City Transit R33 9327, and 7373 which was featured in the original taping of The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. Also featured is an MBTA Orange Line Subway Car #01000, MBTA Blue Line Cars 0622 and 0623, and a rare treat, a PCC hooked up to the 01400 series Red Line Cars which simulated yard moves that used to happen in the 50's and 60's for trolley maintenance at certain shops. There was a power issue in the video where the 01000 car stopped in front of me, the substation got overloaded and the power went out. The train stopped and they reset the fuses at the substation and the parade carried on. My favorite scene out of this video is the New York Redbird coming through the fog, whistle blowing. The guys at Seashore did an extremely impressive job putting this show together, and I thoroughly enjoyed the day!
