We crossed 11 Asian countries in one year: from the tropical islands of Indonesia and Thailand to the Himalayan mountains of Nepal, where we hiked for 22 days to reach the base of Mount Everest at 5,560 meters (without flying). We traveled Australia by tent, car, and hitchhiking, and finally to New Zealand, camping for 40 days "in the wild."
