This time, we traveled to Yamanashi Prefecture on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026. We went there in search of "rejected peaches" (outlet products) to mark the start of the season. We revisited the sorting facilities and direct-sale farmers' markets we visited last year, and managed to get some great deals on peaches. We even discovered a new unmanned roadside stand! This was a road trip with our dog, a couple in their late 40s visiting popular shops that usually have huge lines on weekends, but this time our dog, Michelle, stayed home. Those who visit popular shops on weekends might wonder how crowded they are on weekdays, considering the hours-long waits to get in.
