This time we would like to introduce some things you can do at British Hills. British Hills, “the Britain anyone can visit without a passport”, is situated at around 1000m above sea level in the mountains of Fukushima. In summer you can go there to escape the city heat, and in winter it becomes a winter wonderland. The buildings and furniture were imported from the UK, and it has such a unique atmosphere that it has been used as a filming location for shows such as “Boys Over Flowers”. You can also experience a little bit of the world of Harry Potter there, with the Refectory modelled on the same place as the movies were filmed,buttered beef in the Pub, and cloaks in the rooms during winter. Get the total British experience by eating fish & chips in the Pub, or afternoon tea in the Ascot Tea Room. It is mostly used for English immersion school trips with the idea that guests would come and stay while doing everything in English, but general guests can also visit and use English or Japanese during their day visit or overnight stay. In spring and autumn, there is a beautiful mist that enshrouds British Hills, so it is a beautiful place to just go for a walk. Mama does work here but British Hills has been special to us since long before that as we had our wedding here. We have quite a few videos about British Hills, but that is quite simply because that is how often we go there! This time, Mama and Papa had their first date without the girls since Isla was born.
