Patrick O'Keefe is a production designer at Sony Pictures Animation and heads the art department for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse." He served as art director on "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," winner of the 2019 Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature (watch his interview at IAMC19 with Rufus Deuchler:    • Patrick O'Keefe | Caroline Attia | Trois j...  ). Previously, he was a visual development artist on Sony Pictures Animation's "Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation." Patrick O'Keefe has worked on a variety of films, video games, commercials, and television shows. He has worked as a visual development artist and matte painter on commercials (McDonald's, Kellogg's, Kraft, Amazon, etc.). He also created backgrounds for Disney Television Animation's "Big Hero 6: The Series." He has also worked on award-winning virtual reality short films such as "Henry," which won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Interactive Program in 2016, and "Invasion!", which won a Daytime Emmy in 2017. He also served as a background artist for the short films "Fragile" and "Ashes Fall." His additional credits include being a concept artist for Electronic Arts video games such as Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, Dead Space 2, and Dead Space 3. O'Keefe studied illustration at Sheridan College before attending Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts with a specialization in Film and Animation Design.
