Rebuilding the Historic Clinchfield Railroad ~ Part 15 shows updates from all over the old line! I recorded an old diesel train ride from an open rail car with a microphone attached to each side of the train. The stereo sound might be the best ambient train recording ever. I shook my neighbor's house when I listened to it. If you have a home theater/stereo, use it. Trust me. Headphones are awesome too. And the more volume the more intricate sounds you'll hear.
