Making Comics Forces You to Learn How to Draw

Making comics has a way of pushing you into areas you didn’t plan to learn like perspective, backgrounds, anatomy, clarity, and visual storytelling. In this episode of Panels in Progress, I talk about how working on comics naturally forces you out of your comfort zone as an artist because the story demands it. This episode is about about how comics quietly challenges you to draw things you’d normally avoid, and how that discomfort is actually part of the process. I share reflections on learning through necessity, why there really aren’t shortcuts in comics, and how growth often happens without you realizing it at first. Panels in Progress is a channel about making comics and manga, and learning through the process. 📚 If you want to check out my comics, links are below.
