My mum often says I go out into nature no matter the season, but I’ve found that I tend to choose places with beautiful scenery, especially around May and June. Vienna is lovely in autumn and winter too — you can enjoy it any time of year. 🏠 Alpbach This small village is busy in winter with people who come for snow sports. Most of the buildings are lodges and guesthouses for visitors, and since there’s not much sightseeing to do in the village itself, I think it’s best enjoyed as part of a hike from Inneralpbach. That way, the day feels more complete. 💳 Innsbruck Welcome Card https://www.innsbruck.info/en/destina... This card covers public transport and offers discounts at local attractions. Some cable cars are even free to use, which is a nice bonus. However, I went in mid-May, and most of the cable cars included in the card don’t run until June. 😭 The local events take place on set days too, and they don’t match my dates… In the end, I spent most of my time hiking rather than going to attractions. Still, I wish I’d had time to visit the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. My mum enjoys places like that, and I’d like to go with her one day. https://kristallwelten.swarovski.com/... The Welcome Card also gives a discount for the Nordkette cable car, but I went during Happy Hour, when the fare was already reduced. So in the end, I didn’t make full use of the card.
