Our capital city faces a double scenario of neglect that I cannot remain silent about. In a separate statement today at the Assembly, I expressed my position and I leave my point of view here for you. On one hand, the city hall leaves Campo Grande in darkness that leaves the entire population adrift and vulnerable to crime. On the other hand, the State Government is taking a stance contrary to the Public Security Amendment proposed by the Lula Government. This amendment is the way to unify and integrate our police forces. It will bring more structure, modern equipment and the prospect of salary improvements that our police officers so desperately need and deserve, since they are currently overworked. Defending security is defending integration and a well-lit city for everyone. The population of Campo Grande is adrift. People who live in other cities and visit the capital already notice the complete neglect. The lack of care is evident!
