Urgent alert: betting platforms are destroying lives, and we need to act now! The numbers in this study show that the gambling business is a destructive illusion: Billion-dollar losses: The social and health damage in Brazil reaches R$ 38.8 billion per year. The numbers don't add up: Betting platforms cost society up to 6 times more than the country collects from them. Fake jobs: The sector generated just over 1,100 formal jobs and leaves 84% ​​in the informal sector. SUS (Brazilian Public Health System): The health system receives only 1% of the revenue from gambling to treat those affected. Mayors need to get involved! Enforce our law! We need strict oversight, prevention campaigns, and real protection for our people. Gambling addiction is no joke; it's a public health issue! The Lula government has led rigorous actions to curb this "unbridled gambling" and advocates banning these digital casinos that destroy homes. At the same time, a large union of artists from our culture—such as Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, and Emicida—launched the national campaign #BlockNoTigrinho to raise awareness about the despair and indebtedness that these platforms cause.
