Building a Garfield Valentines Day Card Router Carving Woodworking Art & Craft project DIY

this video, i pulled out the router again, and the project was a large size craft, of Garfield, a cartoon character i grew up reading and watching. the image was from and actual valentines day card i found on the internet, i documented most steps in high speed, it was built on 2 1x8 pieces of cedar i glued together. if you are thinking of getting into projects like this, i can tell you it is a lot of fun, rewarding, and i find it really calming. this is one of those things where you see the work pay dividends basically the whole project. a few things to note, i do make a lot of mistakes, i seem to have a problem breaking pieces off when i use my random orbital sander, definately much to careless. usually i am lucky enough to find the broken piece and glue it back on. routers are great tools, but if you are learning to use one, be alert at all times, stay 100% focused on what your doing, and dont try to take out too much material at once. this video is played at 8times the routing speed, i take my time, and never rush this machine. i would recommend a foot pedal as well. thanks for watching the video.
