Katedra Urbanistyki i Architektury Struktur Miejskich Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Krakowskiej ma zaszczyt zaprosić na wykład profesor Marii Clarke, który odbędzie się 14 maja 2026 r. o godz. 17:00 w sali wykładowej W1, ul. Podchorążych 1. Wykład odbędzie się w języku angielskim w ramach pobytu Marii Clarke jako profesora wizytującego na Wydziale Architektury PK. Prof. Maria Clarke jest profesorem School of Architecture, Hochschule Bremen (HSB). Jest absolwentką University of Plymouth w Wielkiej Brytanii. Jej dorobek obejmuje ponad trzydzieści lat doświadczenia w pracy dydaktycznej, badawczej oraz praktyce architektonicznej, w tym na Illinois Institute of Technology w Chicago (2012-2017). Od 2010 roku kieruje Katedrą Konstrukcji Budowlanych na uczelni HSB. Jej działalność naukowo-badawcza oraz dydaktyczna koncentruje się na nierozerwalnym związku między projektowaniem przestrzennym, a techniczną realizacją obiektu architektonicznego. To zintegrowane podejście znajduje odzwierciedlenie w jej pracy zawodowej w ramach biura CKRS – Architektengesellschaft mbH Berlin, które zostało uhonorowane pierwszą nagrodą w konkursie HolzbauPlus 2023 oraz otrzymało wyróżnienie w ramach Niemieckiej Nagrody Budownictwa Drewnianego (Deutsche Holzbau Preis) za projekt Szkoły Podstawowej im. Wilhelma Gentza. Poza działalnością akademicką i zawodową prof. Clarke aktywnie uczestniczy w pracach organów instytucjonalnych i stowarzyszeń branżowych. Jest członkiem zarządu Stowarzyszenia Architektów Niemieckich (BDA) w Bremie, a także członkiem Deutscher Werkbund oraz Berlińskiej Izby Architektów. Chair of Urbanism and City Structure Architecture Faculty of Architecture Cracow University of Technology is pleased to invite you to attend a lecture by Professor Maria Clarke that will take place on 14th May 2026 at 17:00 in the W1 lecture hall at 1 Podchorążych street. The lecture will take place in English as part of Maria Clarke’s stay as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Architecture, CUT. Prof. Maria Clarke is a Professor at the School of Architecture, Hochschule Bremen (HSB). She holds a diploma from the University of Plymouth (UK) and brings over thirty years of experience in academic teaching, research, and architectural practice. Between 2012 and 2017, she served as Part-time Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Since 2010, she has led the Building Construction teaching Chair at HSB. Her research and teaching address the inseparable relationship between spatial design and technical execution in architecture. This integrated approach is also reflected in her professional work at CKRS – Architektengesellschaft mbH Berlin, which was awarded first prize at HolzbauPlus 2023 and received recognition from the German Timber Construction Prize for the Wilhelm Gentz Elementary School. In addition to her academic and professional practice, Prof. Clarke is actively involved in institutional and professional governance. She is a Member of the Board of the Association of German Architects (BDA) in Bremen, a member of the German Werkbund, and the Berlin Chamber of Architects.
