We want to take a detailed look at the Seven Sleepers' Day rule: Where does it come from, when was it established, and how does it work? What's the deal with the calendar reform, and why is the period at the end of June and beginning of July so important? What happens during those seven weeks, and why do things happen afterward? When does the polar vortex actually reawaken? We'll also examine the most likely weather patterns for our summer. From the current perspective, it's unlikely that the weather will make further dramatic shifts like the one in the second half of June. To discuss the Seven Sleepers' Day rule and the calendar reform, one could also approach the matter from the other direction (i.e., starting with the calendar reform and working backward). But even then, we would arrive at the same conclusion.
