Coalition of the Willing sends a clear message to Putin and Trump | Monika Sus
Is the Coalition of the Willing emerging as a powerful new force in Europe? The group has agreed to hold its first multinational military exercises in Poland this autumn. “The message from Europeans is clear: we are ready to take responsibility for our own security,” says Monika Sus, Professor of Political Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Team Europe Direct Poland, in World Talks. In her view, the signal is directed both at Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. The developments come amid growing warnings that Russia could be prepared to attack a NATO member. Join Sascha Fahrbach and his guest as they discuss the Coalition of the Willing, Europe’s security plans for Ukraine, upcoming military exercises in Poland, and growing concerns about Russia’s threat to regional security.
