Painting leaves of undergrowth

In this video I show the process of a large plein air painting, where I chose the many leaves of blackberry bushes that are growing under the trees as my subject. The video shows the painting journey from the very beginning, where I stretch and prepare the linen on stretcher bars, till the very end. The oil painting is created in multiple sessions in slightly different weather conditions, following a layered approach. Fragments from each session are shown. The painting is an exploration of varying the green of the leaves by expanding the use of a whole range of blue, green and yellow colors.
