Painting light filtering through the forest
Here I share the process of painting the light coming through the forest in the spring. The large painting consists of multiple canvases that were assembled as a whole at the start of each session. In the video, you can see how I explored different bold colors, alternating with more or less naturally existing colors. I like to paint the experience of the place, and a forest like this has many tiny details and chaotic elements. It is beautiful but can also be overpowering. I like to paint expressively and rhythmically; I search for the harmony. You can find more on my painting at https://lendmeyourunderbelly.com/
