Heidelberg is a long-established cake shop located in Onga District, Fukuoka Prefecture. It’s very popular with the locals, and on the day of our visit, a large crowd arrived right at opening time. Their most popular cake, the Kuchen, and the signature Heidelberg cake are made with almost no flour, relying mostly on chocolate and egg yolks. The rich flavor makes these cakes especially beloved by customers. Known locally as a “delicious cake shop,” Heidelberg was bustling with families and regulars on the day of our visit, showing just how much the community loves this bakery.
