Turning Flat Scrap Steel Into Custom '57 Chevy Rocker Patches

This week on SquareMax Customs, we are tackling some serious rust repair on Rustella, our 1957 Chevy Bel Air clone. We're taking raw, flat scrap metal and hand-building a custom front rocker end cap, a bottom rocker patch, and an inner rocker patch from scratch. No expensive pre-stamped panels here—just some good old-fashioned Cardboard Aided Design (CAD) and a lot of metal shaping. Once the patches are welded in, it's time to fix some terrible door gaps. Getting these 70-year-old body lines to line up perfectly takes patience, a cutting wheel, and a lot of fine-tuning, but the results are worth it.
