Taking on Norway: CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING | With Jendrik Sigwart

Jendrik is challenged to race against a local ski instructor in both cross-country skiing and ski shooting. He travels to Hunderfossen Family Park and Birkebeineren Ski Stadium, where he learns the basics before the race. Do you think you could beat a Norwegian on skis? Skiing is considered Norway's national sport, and in Norway, you can go cross-country skiing almost anywhere. Hardcore athletes, families and beginners all find their fun in the snowy landscapes during winter. Although some Norwegians put on their first ski boots as soon as they learn to walk, others try it for the first time as grown-ups. While travelling on a skiing holiday, many treats themself to a few nights in a mountain hotel or a cosy cabin and use it as a base for various day trips. And there’s nothing like spending the time after skiing in wool underwear in front of the fireplace with a hot drink in hand.
