PIANCAVALLO, CANSIGLIO, CAI 993-922-982, Troi de Figariol, Col Pedrois - MTB trail

To experience an intense day, traversing spectacular landscapes from Piancavallo to the heart of Cansiglio, our group today took advantage of the "carousel," the shuttle that effortlessly took us up from Aviano, mountain bikes in tow. But from there on, the real challenge began: first pedaling, then pushing, and finally carrying our bikes along the steep ski slopes to the Valle di Sass. Donning our protective gear, we set off on the technical CAI 993 trail, then continuing on the more fluid CAI 922-C, to the charming Cimbrian village of Canaie. A second climb immersed us in the majestic Cansiglio forest, leading us to Casera Ceresera: a must-stop for a snack before the toughest descent of the day. We tackled the CAI 982 trails, the "Troi de Figariol" and "Col Pedrois": truly treacherous trails, with tall grass and hidden rocks, that truly put us to the test. Then it was the turn of the infamous Ceresera–Dardago Downhill, nicknamed the "Pacche Trail": a trail strewn with large rocks that truly thrilled us! Luckily, in the final kilometers, we enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation on flow trails that accompanied us all the way to Aviano. GPS track: https://www.komoot.com/it-it/tour/244...
