Hello everyone! while it's been a minute, here are some of the recordings from my junior recital! It was a huge undertaking, from the designing of the outfit, to the fun and inclusive song selections, to the photo shoot, and to all the hard working people making it a full event!! Thank you for making me feel like a star :) “La Regata Veneziana,” or “Voga o Tonio,” is a duet by the Italian composer Gioachino Rossini. Known for both comic and serious opera, Rossini revolutionized the genre and left an enduring legacy. After a prolific opera career, Rossini retired from the theater at age 37, and began hosting soirées in his Paris home, for which he composed shorter, entertaining pieces known as salon music. These works showcased performers’ virtuosity and were intended for intimate gatherings.
