My JEE journey started with one dream—to study at one of India’s best engineering colleges. Like lakhs of students, I believed that if I worked hard enough, everything would eventually fall into place. But life had different plans. After years of preparation, I scored 97.85 percentile in JEE Main 2025. It wasn’t a perfect score, but it opened doors to some amazing colleges. During JoSAA Counselling, I had the chance to join NIT Warangal, but because of a counselling mistake, I lost that seat. That moment completely changed my life. Later, I got NIT Goa, and everyone around me expected me to join. But deep inside, I wasn’t convinced. After weeks of overthinking, discussions with family, talking to seniors, and questioning my future, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I took a second drop for JEE 2026. It was a decision that many people called crazy. I knew the risks. I knew what people would say. I knew there was no guarantee that things would improve. Still, I believed I owed myself one final attempt. Months passed. There were good days. There were terrible days. There were moments when I felt completely lost. Finally, JEE Main 2026 arrived. My result? 96.2 percentile. Lower than my previous attempt. At first, it felt like everything had gone backwards. Four years. Thousands of study hours. Countless sacrifices. And still, I wasn’t where I imagined I would be. But after the disappointment settled, I realized something important. JEE is only one part of your life. The decision you make after JEE can have an even bigger impact on your future. That’s when the real confusion started. Should I choose a better college or a better branch? Or should I prioritize the opportunities that come with my branch? I spent days comparing colleges, watching placement statistics, talking to seniors, reading student experiences, checking campus life, researching coding culture, internships, startup ecosystem, alumni network, academics, future career opportunities, and everything that could help me make the right decision. I seriously considered colleges like NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Goa, IIIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay and several other options before arriving at my final conclusion. Every option had its own advantages. Every option had its own compromises. There is no perfect college. There is no perfect branch. There are only trade-offs. And after thinking about every possible angle, I finally made my decision. In this video, I’m sharing that complete journey—not just the final answer.
