Can you spot whales from your camper? In this vlog, we experience one of the most beautiful moments of our trip to the North Cape so far. From Kirkenes, in the far northeast of Norway, we first hop on our bikes to explore the city. We visit the impressive Andersgrotta, walk through the city center, and pay a visit to the Grenselandmuseum, where the history of this special border region comes to life. Afterwards, we drive to a place that has long been on our wish list: Grense Jakobselv. The route there takes us along the Russian border and through a rugged, impressive landscape. At the end of the road, we find a camper spot that is perhaps the most beautiful of our entire trip. And then what we secretly hoped for happens… From our camper, we spot several minke whales in the Barents Sea. During the midnight sun, we see whales surfacing again. Lianne even spots dolphins, and for a brief moment, we think we see an orca as well. We visit the characteristic King Oscar II Chapel, enjoy the peace, the nature, and the special conversations with other travelers.
